“To us, it’s the evolution of a common heritage, representing a clarity in aesthetics and the knowledge of good craft. It’s about honesty and efficiency in materials and the simplicity of purpose.”
- WHATSWHAT
The Collection
The lamps are based on the theme 'Potential Energy' and were created under the name WHATSWHAT as a side project while enrolled at Konstfack's Master program in Stockholm. The lamps represent the prescience of both suggested and actual movement. Each piece expresses a different take on potential energy.
Process
All pieces were designed and prototyped by us as a side project to our regular studies.
This approach brought as close to the materiality of the objects and enabled us to think with our hands.
